Als er vierzehn ist, verliebt sich Hannes Prager in das Mädchen Polina. Um ihr seine Liebe zu zeigen, komponiert der wundersam begabte Junge eine Melodie, die Polinas ganzes Wesen und Wünschen umfasst.
