Die Briten konnten somit den gesamten Funkverkehr zwischen Dönitz und seinen U-Booten mitlesen. Der einzige Vorteil der Deutschen Kriegsmarine war jedoch, dass die Briten im Anfangsstadium noch sehr viele Stunden für die Entschlüsselung nur eines einzigen Funkspruches brauchten.
