As if the creepy cyborg and the mechanically-enhanced human crew weren't bad enough, what was supposed to be a simple flight home to Earth was going horribly wrong. A deadly plot was unfolding. One that could jeopardize the entire human race. And Daisy found herself stuck in the middle.

"Daisy Miller", scritto nel 1878, è considerato uno dei capolavori dello scrittore americano Henry James. Ritratto intenso di una giovane americana che, nella buona società europea (la trama si dipana dalla Svizzera alla stupenda e decadente Roma dei papi), viene giudicata troppo libera (se ne va a passeggio per Roma dopo il tramonto, sola con un giovanotto che non è nemmeno il suo fidanzato...) e quindi imperdonabilmente poco seria, e messa al bando; solo dopo la sua morte improvvisa sapremo, insieme al protagonista narratore, che Daisy era assolutamente innocente, non una civetta o peggio, ma semplicemente una ragazza libera, indipendente, spontanea e disinteressata, amante del passeggiare e vagabondare, oppressa dai lacci delle convenzioni sociali che imprigionavano le donne.

But that was par for the course in Daisy’s life, and she was becoming somewhat accustomed to expecting the unexpected. This, however, took it to a whole different level. One far worse than she would ever have thought possible. Daisy once more found herself forced to step up and take charge, fighting the hard battle she so desperately wanted nothing to do with.

Thrown for the biggest loop she would likely ever be forced to experience, Daisy found herself at a complete loss for once. While a course of action normally made itself clear to her, her new predicament made following her instincts impossibly dangerous. One misstep, and she not only might harm those she cared for, but could even fracture the universe itself.

Whenever things seem to fall apart around Daisy, romance novels are her way of escaping. When immersed in a novel, she can imagine herself in the story as the lead female character. Still, the difference between her and the typical female character in her novels is that she is not your average damsel in distress. Daisy was raised by a military father who ensured his daughter knew survival skills and how to protect herself. Following in her beloved father's footsteps, Daisy joined the army and met Justin. Eventually, Daisy's dreams would come true.
