Sharing our survivor stories from Breast cancer gives us a voice in a voiceless system and helps equip others diagnosed how to fight the Battle Ahead. As we share we help others know how to fight, how to find hope, and how to advocate for themselves along the way. It helps you know that you can fight and do hard things too! As a survivor I found the health system left me feeling unheard, unseen, and dismissed. I turned to the internet to find the answers I didn't get from my health team. I found very little outside from medical facilities. This led me on the journey to give back and ...

Breast Cancer - After the Diagnosis

Story0
My name is Jayne Pritchard. You might recognize me as one of the news anchors from CTV News in Barrie. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and have written about my experience and the importance of looking after yourself through this journey. The reason I wrote this audiobook is because I want women to ensure they get regular mammograms, and whatever other diagnostic tests their doctor recommends. Early detection is key to a positive outcome. I almost put off my mammogram, which discovered an early form of an aggressive type of breast cancer.
