In science one reasons by analogy, so when mankind is confronted by experiences entirely beyond his understanding it takes an individual with intelligence and bravery in equal measure to push back the boundaries of the unknown. In London, in the 1900’s, the solutions to supernatural occurrences were investigated by a man who was famous for his dealings with the unknown, and the worlds of the dead: Jarrem Lee, Ghost Hunter.

Beatrice Knight has enough to contend with: A zebra is dead on her lawn, her horse is possessed, and a gentleman has arrived with the temerity to propose to her. To top it off, her dead husband, Gideon, has absconded with an automaton, threatening to return for his wife. The wife in question, however, soon has other issues, for a killer has moved into town with a nasty habit of carving up the victims. As luck should dictate, who should be the next target but Mrs. Knight herself?

The adventure continues as Lady Arabella, Rett and friends chase after the evil Dr. Krakov in hopes they can stop his attack on Aereopolis. Faced with albino cannibal pygmies, snow monsters and angry mountain men, while fighting devastating storms against impossible odds, they are forced to use every possible resource to stay alive. Krakov escapes all attempts to thwart him and rains his deadly automatons on the capital city in a conflagration that will spread to the entire world.

"This story happened when His Majesty was still a young man, a huntsman to be precise. It is the tale of a clockwork machine from the future, with a mission to terminate His Majesty to prevent him from meeting his future queen." Jarvis paused for effect. "Then, she was known only as Snow White."
