Paris Blue: A Memoir of First Love is the debut novel from flutist Julie Scolnik, detailing her own experiences of music and love in the City of Lights in the 70s. I read the entire thing, and break it down here.

This story of manipulative teachers, abuse, affairs, love, orchestras, conductors and wine couldn’t be more French; and I enjoyed every second of it.

A recent study examines if the hyper focus people with ASD experience is similar to creative flow, and the results have been a huge vindication for autistic people.

Heather O’Donnell is a psychologist and artistic-systemic therapist from the US now working with classical musicians (amongst others) here in Germany.
