Instant Reactions to Winning the J. Ross Robertson Cup

CHAMPIONSHIP! The Coach formerly known as The Juice called it pre-season. Championship was the only measure of success this season. This team was phenomenal. The fans are phenomenal. The organization has deserved this after an 18 year drought. Winning feels good! Final CarPod!

Instant Reactions to Round 4, Game 3 vs. the Barrie Colts

Edwards' 4-Point Night Survives the Aitcheson Jump Scare (2OT)

The game crawled through the first and second and then the third period just detonated. Six goals in under ten minutes, lead changes, Carson Campbell on the board (yes, the statue conversation is happening), and Dylan Edwards making it 3-2 with about 70 seconds left. And then Kashawn Aitcheson tied it with 13 seconds remaining, because of course he did. Two overtime periods later, Edwards put it away at 5:24 of the second extra frame for a 4-point night and a 3-0 series lead. Kitchener needs one more. The AudBalls are live.

Instant Reactions to Game 2 vs. Barrie Colts

The Rangers put up 59 shots. Fifty-nine. Ben Hrebik nearly stole the whole thing anyway, and a double minor late in the third gave Barrie enough runway to tie it with three seconds left on the clock. Then overtime happened. Kitchener launched 20 more shots at the Barrie net before Matthew Andonovski ended it at 18:03, calling it the biggest goal of his career. Carson Campbell's shorthanded goal and defensive masterclass are getting the full breakdown, the AudBalls are back and relieved, and the Rangers head to Barrie up 2-0.

Instant Reactions to Game 1 vs. Barrie | OHL Championship

Barrie came into the Aud less than 48 hours off a Game 7 home win, and the Rangers answered with a complete, composed 60 minutes. Andrew MacNiel, a defenseman who doesn't usually own the goal-scoring spotlight, put two past Hrebik and walked away as first star of the game. The penalty kill was a flawless 3-for-3. The powerplay? You can't divide by zero, and they still won by three. A few questionable calls had 7,124 fans buzzing throughout, but this team never lost its footing. The AudBalls break it all down as the Road to the Robertson hits the final round.

The AudBalls are still picking their jaws up off the floor after the Barrie Colts clawed back from a 3-1 series deficit to stun the Brantford Bulldogs in Game 7 and punch their ticket to the Robertson Cup Final. Instant Reactions to Game 5 vs. Windsor Spitfires

WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS. The AudBalls are back after one of the wilder games of this run. The Spitfires went up 3-0 in the first, Windsor's boogeyman Luke Ellinas started the comeback, and Dylan Edwards put it away in overtime. The Wayne Gretzky Trophy is in the building and nobody is touching it. The Rangers are going to the Robertson Cup Finals. WHAT. A. GAME.

Instant Reactions to Game 4 vs. Windsor

The day off worked. The Rangers came into Windsor and handled the Spitfires 6-3 with a four-goal lead that never felt in danger, even if the broadcast nearly put you to sleep. Windsor was handed seven power plays and scored on exactly none of them. Kitchener answered back with two shorthanded goals. Two. Luca Romano was the first star, Carson Campbell got the game winner, and the boys made the Spits look like they belonged in a different league. Series lead: 3-1.

Instant Reactions to Game 3 vs. Windsor

Yeah, Windsor wasn't getting swept. We knew that. Two dumb penalties to start the game made things way harder than they needed to be, and the Spitfires made Kitchener pay almost immediately. The Rangers still outshot them 23 to 17, Arquette was good, and the sky is not falling. Series is still very much alive. On to Game 4.
