January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and this issue spans the globe: In the East African country of Uganda, for example, statistics show that 1 in 4 girls will experience sexual abuse before age 18. Native to Uganda and a victim herself at age 13, Annabelle Nakabiri eventually turned that pain into purpose by founding The Remnant Generation, a faith-based ministry dedicated to the healing, restoration and empowerment of sexual abuse survivors and teen mothers. Since 2015, Annabelle and her organization have impacted the lives of over 11,000 young women and girls in crisis situations, providing counseling and safety, as well as access to education, healthcare and job training. Today, in conversation with Ozinga CEO Marty Ozinga, Annabelle details The Remnant Generation's holistic transformation model, and how you can support their vision.

The Ryan family's roots at Northwestern University go back seven decades, and their latest show of support for their alma mater is helping fund the first stadium of its kind in college football. Thanks to an $850 million pro-bono private family investment, the new Ryan Field (set to open in Fall 2026) is the biggest stadium construction in Chicagoland to date, with innovations in accessibility, sight lines and year-round amenities.

Since 2008, Honor Flight Chicago has been providing an incalculable gift to our country's military veterans — closure. Through public and private funding, the organization offers vets free flights to our nation's capital to experience the WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War memorials in person, while also welcoming them back with parade-like pomp and circumstance to thank them for their service and sacrifice.
