There’s also the remarkable reclamation of Sam Darnold, who has gone from being benched by the Carolina Panthers to finding his way back into relevance. And looming over it all? An increasingly awkward couple of weeks ahead for Bill Belichick.

Then it’s over to ACC hoops, where North Carolina stole the spotlight Saturday with a comeback win at Virginia. After the west coast flop had many writing off the Heels, a road win like that could be an inflection point for Hubert Davis and the season’s direction.
