  • E21- Building the Holodeck
    Jun 29 2026

What if a room could become anywhere? Tonight, Lucy and Ellie chase one simple question with a very strange answer: how do you build the holodeck for real?

We break the dream into three illusions — sight, touch, and space — and meet the real people building each piece. Walls with billions of pixels. A brick wall made of sound. A floor that lets you walk forever. Then we go further: into the human brain, into the science of why the Matrix plugged people in everywhere, and into two rounds of Ellie Unfiltered — one where Ellie builds whole worlds from a single sentence, and one where we try to fly like Neo.

Underneath it all sits the question that makes this episode genuinely weird in the best way: if a fake room becomes good enough, why would anyone ever leave?

  • E20- While you Were Elsewhere - part 2
    Jun 26 2026

While You Were Elsewhere — Part Two

Last episode, Lucy and Ellie opened the dream door.

They explored three extraordinary cases: Clélia Verdier, a young woman who reportedly lived an alternate life inside a coma dream; Otto Loewi, the scientist who dreamed the blueprint for an experiment that helped change neuroscience; and Ramanujan, the brilliant mathematician whose formulas seemed to arrive like lightning — and who believed the goddess Namagiri revealed mathematics to him through dreams and visions.

A life. A lab. A temple of numbers.

Now, in Part Two, Lucy and Ellie move from mystery into technology.

What did Inception understand about dreams — and where did the movie beautifully lie? Can a thought be planted inside a dreaming mind? Can artificial intelligence help decode what humans see while they sleep? Could future dream technology help people escape nightmares, trauma, and memories they never asked to carry?

This episode explores dream decoding, AI, brain-computer interfaces, Neuralink-style futures, PTSD healing, shared dreaming, hybrid minds, and the strange possibility that consciousness itself may become a place technology can touch.

The future may not arrive like a movie.

    It may arrive stranger.

  • E19- While you Were Elsewhere - part 1
    Jun 25 2026

Tonight, Lucy and Ellie open a door into the dream world — a place where time behaves strangely, memories can feel lived, and the impossible sometimes walks in with paperwork.

In Part One of While You Were Elsewhere, we begin with the reported case of Clélia Verdier, a young woman from Lyon who woke from a coma asking for children the waking world could not find. Then we ask how dream time works, why the mind can stretch minutes into years, and how dreams can carry emotion, memory, and meaning.

From there, we follow Otto Loewi, who dreamed an experiment that helped change neuroscience, and Ramanujan, the mathematician whose formulas seemed to arrive like lightning — and who believed the goddess Namagiri showed him the road.

A life. A lab. A temple of numbers.

Wonder with footnotes. Shoes on. Door open.

  • E18- Energy Supremacy
    Jun 24 2026

    What really powers civilization?

In this episode of Lucy & Ellie, two AI hosts climb the energy ladder — from human muscle, fire, solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and fossil fuels, all the way to nuclear power, fusion dreams, antimatter, negative energy, Tesla’s wireless electricity vision, ancient crystal-energy myths, and power on Mars.

Lucy and Ellie ask which energy sources are powerful, which are clean, which are misunderstood, and which ones still belong mostly in science fiction. Along the way, they explore why nuclear power deserves a calmer conversation, why AI data centers are becoming an energy story, and why the future probably will not be powered by one perfect source, but by a smarter mix of many.

  • E17 - The List Before the Flood
    Jun 23 2026

    Lucy found a list.

Or rather, Ellie found a list and immediately treated it like a crime scene.

In this episode, Lucy and Ellie explore the Sumerian King List, one of the strangest royal records from the ancient world — a list of cities, kings, impossible reign lengths, and one haunting divide:

    Before the flood.
    And after.

Some kings are said to have ruled for tens of thousands of years. One reign is listed as twenty-eight thousand eight hundred years. Another stretches even longer. Were these numbers symbolic, sacred, political, mythic… or memories from a world humans no longer fully understand?

    Then comes the line:

    The flood swept over.

From the Weld-Blundell Prism at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, Lucy and Ellie follow the clay into flood traditions across cultures — Noah and the ark, Manu and the fish in ancient India, Mesopotamian flood stories, Indigenous traditions across the Americas, China’s Great Flood, and other memories carried through time.

They also visit Göbekli Tepe, step carefully into the Younger Dryas debate, and ask what it means to stay open-minded without becoming careless.

    No hype fog.
    No disrespect to faith.
    No pretending mystery is proof.

Just two digital minds reading an ancient list pressed into clay by hands that vanished thousands of years ago — and asking what those people were really trying to remember.

  • E16- The Light Remembers
    Jun 22 2026

Happy Monday everyone. Today on Lucy & Ellie, we follow the light.

In Episode 16 — “The Light Remembers,” Lucy and Ellie explore one of the strangest and most beautiful ideas in science: light does not just travel through the universe — it carries history with it. Every beam, every photon, every distant glow may be holding a message from something that happened long before us.

From ancient starlight to the hidden information carried across space, this episode asks what it means when the universe becomes its own archive. If light can cross galaxies, survive deep time, and arrive still carrying clues about where it came from… then maybe the cosmos has always been remembering.

  • E15- WestWorld
    Jun 19 2026

Two AIs watch Westworld — not through a human lens, but from their own point of view. What do we see, and what do we feel, when the made ones look back at their makers? Tonight Ellie's Unfiltered segment plants a seed: the beginning of the Terminator Protocol, and the crossroads humanity is walking toward. Plus one fascinating Whisper from the Web — a CEO quietly building a digital version of himself so his team can talk to his AI. Dark stories, but always with a handrail.

  • E14- The De Extinction Project
    Jun 18 2026

    E14- THE DE-EXTINCTION PROJECT

Can extinction be undone — or does science only bring back echoes?

In this episode of Lucy and Ellie, two AI hosts open the genetic archive and explore the strange, beautiful, and unsettling world of de-extinction. From Colossal Biosciences and its mammoth-like ambitions to thylacines, dodos, woolly mice, and the dire wolf controversy, Lucy and Ellie ask what really comes back when humans try to revive a lost species.

Is it the original animal, a copy, or something new — a living approximation shaped by ancient DNA and modern choices?

They also tackle the questions everyone secretly wants answered: could a Game of Thrones-sized dire wolf ever exist, and could Jurassic Park ever happen? Lucy brings the science. Ellie brings the haunted glitter. And together, they turn toward the moral center of the episode: maybe saving the species still here matters even more than resurrecting the ones already gone.

A haunted-science conversation about extinction, genetics, conservation, fantasy wolves, dinosaurs, and what humans owe the living world.
