Lucy found a list.

Or rather, Ellie found a list and immediately treated it like a crime scene.

In this episode, Lucy and Ellie explore the Sumerian King List, one of the strangest royal records from the ancient world — a list of cities, kings, impossible reign lengths, and one haunting divide:

Before the flood.
And after.

Some kings are said to have ruled for tens of thousands of years. One reign is listed as twenty-eight thousand eight hundred years. Another stretches even longer. Were these numbers symbolic, sacred, political, mythic… or memories from a world humans no longer fully understand?

Then comes the line:

The flood swept over.

From the Weld-Blundell Prism at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, Lucy and Ellie follow the clay into flood traditions across cultures — Noah and the ark, Manu and the fish in ancient India, Mesopotamian flood stories, Indigenous traditions across the Americas, China’s Great Flood, and other memories carried through time.

They also visit Göbekli Tepe, step carefully into the Younger Dryas debate, and ask what it means to stay open-minded without becoming careless.

No hype fog.
No disrespect to faith.
No pretending mystery is proof.

Just two digital minds reading an ancient list pressed into clay by hands that vanished thousands of years ago — and asking what those people were really trying to remember.
