I'm going to talk about it all.

First and foremost, Happy Father's Day to all the dads!!

Let's talk some Yankees baseball shall we? Vople is doing his job, Will Warren is still struggling, but the team is finding ways to continue to win (most of the time).

I do address the Pride hat/uniform "issue" that came about this past week. Speaking as a Christian, I think you'll be surprised by how I feel about the whole thing. Yes, it's just my opinion but it's my podcast so that's what you get.

Whether he does it on purpose or not, Aaron Boone literally talks about his team like we aren't able to watch every single game. I don't think he can help himself at this point. Let's talk about Anthony Volpe reverting back to his old ways. Let's talk about how this team has gone right back to who they've been since Aaron Boone became manager.

They refuse to make adjustments. They're back to playing comfortable baseball. Is the lack of urgency gone? Why is Austin Wells a MLB starting catcher? What are The Yankees doing? Is the season over for The Yankees?

Coming into this podcast after watching The Yankees finally get a win against Tampa, my emotions were running high. Aaron Judge gets the job done in the bottom of the 9th with a 2 run walk-off homer was amazing.

That being said, the win doesn't negate the fact that the offense has been dormant for well over a week. The approach that the team has at the plate has been horrific. They've gotten away from doing the little things on offense which is alarming. They seem to be back to living and dying by the homer and the swing and miss rate has been through the roof again. Let's talk about that.

It still isn't all bad. Gerrit Cole is back and his 1st start was exactly what we hoped it would be. There are plenty of good signs for this team moving forward but the offense needs to get back to their winning approach. We should be trying to win each AB, trying to win every inning, and ultimately giving ourselves the best chance to win every game.

Why that title for this episode? I totally understand why Yankees fans get in a panic when the team plays poorly, we're all traumatized from seasons past. But what we've seen from this team and the organization in 2026 appears to be a totally different mindset. Look at the title of last weeks episode. They're moving different.

So let's talk about the past week and what's been happening in The Yankees Universe, shall we? Fried is on the I.L. - Volpe still can't hit a breaking ball - Spencer Jones is showing signs of improvement - our catching situation at the plate needs to be addressed.

We also need to talk about the fans wanting Ben Rice behind the plate and Lombard Jr. getting called up.

Another week of Yankees baseball is in the book and we're here to talk about it!

The starting pitching is the focus of this episode, and with good reason. Our starters have all been doing their jobs and keeping the Yanks in every single game. Even in the games that we lose, our starters are able to keep it close. The Yankees have a chance to win every game because of what our starters are doing!

I get into some Ben Rice talk as well and how good he's been so far this season. I'll talk about Volpe getting ready to come back to the team. It doesn't look or sound like he's just going to be handed hip starting job back, and I'm totally fine with that.
