Hello and welcome to My Life in Lazio. A podcast about moving to Italy in midlife. I’m Emma, a Brit who decided in midlife to leave a safe, predictable life behind and start again in Italy.

This podcast is where I share the real story of relocating here — the paperwork, the property searches, the language struggles, the small wins, and the everyday magic of building a new life in Italy. I've been coming to Italy since 2006 but it wasn't until 2023 that I made the leap of faith, after having burnt my life down in the UK thanks mainly to the perimenopause! Now I'm established and happily living in Rome with my Italian partner Max and our Jack Russel dog.
