When we are struggling we can call on our ancestors for guidance. Our ancestors are alive within us, and they can show us their love and offer their support any time we tune into their wisdom. In this podcast we connect with ourselves through the breath and then invite our ancestors into our heart space to share their love and wisdom. 
Connecting with our ancestors can become an everyday part of our lives, and can enrich us in the deepest part of our being.

When I was a busy young mum I worked hard to be able to continue my meditation practice, as sometimes it was the only point in the day when my time was my own. 
This short but calming meditation is designed to give young mum's some much needed and deserved time out. Taking a few minutes to reflect and breathe can sometimes  turn an unmanageable day into a (slightly more)manageable one.

Anxiety is an awful feeling. It seeps from our minds into our bodies and creates a sense of dread and panic that is hard to shift. When we feel anxious we are often feeling ungrounded and disconnected from our bodies and the earth beneath our feet.

Hi friends, I hope the start to the year has been a gentle one for you. There is lots of shifting and awakening going on in our world right now and many of us are struggling to find our centre in the midst of the chaos. If you're feeling like you need to take a big chill pill then this guided meditation might be just the thing for you. It is recorded in the native forest near my house where the 300-year-old Pohutukawa tree that I call my friend always delivers the peace of heart that I need.

Meditation is a natural part of our humanity. It is a simple, easy, grounding process that anyone can do, anytime. If you're at all curious about meditation please give this back to basics podcast a try. It's practical and no fuss, and by the end of it you can legitimately call yourself a meditator.

There is, according to Karl Jung an "eternal child" in each one of us. This inner child embodies the qualities of innocence, wonder, and joy and allows us to respond to life in spontaneous ways.

There will sometimes be a wounding that happens when we are a child, that will impact on our lives as adults. When we feel a deep well of emotion inside us that doesn't seem to correlate to the daily workings of or lives, this can be the inner child calling out for our attention.

Taking notice of these feelings and the emotional distress that arises in us can bring us face to face with a neglected, abandoned and panicked part of ourselves that needs only time and nurture to bring her back to balance.
