Hey Dads,
My 2007 Honda Accord EX stopped blowing cold air from the air conditioner. I took it to my friend who works on old cars, and he showed me that the AC compressor clutch was not spinning and I told him that I noticed that the AC would start blowing cold air after going over a bump in the road or a speed bump.
We opened the hood and we found the relays in the car. We turned the car on and he banged the AC compressor clutch relay with the end of a pair of pliers and the AC compressor clutch kicked on, so that is how we figured out that is was probably an issue with the power relay for the compressor clutch.
I got a new AC Compressor Clutch Power Relay Assembly, and I took out the old one and plugged in the new one, and it worked! The relays cost about $10-$15, which is a lot less expensive than bringing it to a mechanic.
It is really easy very inexpensive to change out the relays so I would suggest doing that first if you air conditioner not blowing cold air in car.
