About this listen

Mike and his family escaped a vast zombie horde to find themselves imprisoned by a clandestine group that seeks global domination by the most nefarious means possible. Help is coming, in the form of a 500-year-old PopTart loving vampire named Tommy. Will he be enough to get the Talbots to freedom or will he succumb to monsters new and old? On top of all this Mike discovers that he is in the crosshairs of an ancient enemy and it is only a matter of time until the final showdown.

this book sets new heights in this series, keeps you stuck in the story not wanting to leave, Mike read by Sean Runnette becomes a friend, full of serious concourse riddled with comedy and sarcasm, I hope the following books with Mike Talbot are of the same high quality

yet again another excellent book

Once again an enjoyable episode, dark humour along with a great easy listening story. Roll on Mike Talbot, there's mileage in this series yet.
Cheers

So now I'm this far. I think it's an interesting story, but a bit flaky. Zombies and vampires, an odd mix.
One thing I have a problem with as a man is how the author talks about what men as a "standard" think about various situations etc. The author must really have issues with his manhood and possibly a lack of manliness. The way he constantly speaks about how men should not show emotions, how the though of a kick to the plums is the worst thing even in theory etc. makes me think of a beta male who wishes he was an alpha male. Strange how some express their insecurities.

Anyhow, it's a fun series, but sometimes a bit messy in how it is told, and sometimes the plot holes are on the bigger side. That said, for someone who is familiar with things like Resident Evil series, there are a lot of fun little throwbacks. It's definitely a geeky zombie story for zombie geeks.

Okay read for a zombie fan.
