Who was your favorite character and why?
Mike or trip. Because I know people that are like them lol
What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
He helps a bit with the sarcastic dialog and the different voices
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There where a few parts that had me nearly laughing out loud at 3am while my partner was asleep next to me

5 Stars as Always but far from best ZF
What did you like best about this story?
I loved Tripp and BT their humour is amazing
Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Sean is an amazing narrator.... simples
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, but listened to it once and thought eh..... ok so i listened to it again.
Any additional comments?
Mark Tufo is an amazing writer, brilliant, I don't think this is the best ZF by a long way, however still 5 stars as miles better than other writers. In the stories Mike Talbot has great humour a great part of the book but the humour only works with the correct characters around him and this book he was mainly with Tommy and Deneaux. Normally when listening to ZF i just burst out laughing and not once did i laugh out loud with Mike chapters but i did with Tripp and BT i did still. Deneaux killed Paul and caused other issues etc that Mike would have killed others for so did not really get that either. Not the greatest ZF but still 100% worth getting a touch below perfect still better than the rest :)

Everything about it. I've listened to the whole series so far and never get tired of it.

Talbot at his best! Again!
I drive truck, and I spend about 12 hours a day in my truck. When you spend so much time alone, you have to keep your mind occupied anyway you can. Thank God for my Iphone! It has allowed me to listen to lectures on every subject from law and justice, to the future of the human race. Sometimes, instead of learning, I like to spend my time in an escape that is provided by the great minds on Audible.
I have bought over 300 books on audible. Mostly I have bought novels by vince flynn, Michael.connelly, etc. Never really was into the horror fantasy genra before. But Mark Tufo changed that.
Zombie fallout 8 is a GREAT read. And like most of the books that Mark Tufo writes, you could, pick it up and read it and not be lost. But you would be doing yourself a great dis-service if you did that. You need to buy the rest and listen to them or read them in order to truly get the full enjoyment out the authors works.
If you are thinking that zombie books are for people with an IQ below 40, or rednecks, on that, with some of the drivel that people put out, I would agree with you. If you are thinking of reading any zombie book, you owe it to yourself to start with this series. You will be hooked! The main character (Mike Talbot) is a normal,(for the most part) guy, who could be the guy next door that you have BBQ with in the summer, and comes over to help you drink beer. The character development for all the characters is incredible. And the narrator, Sean Runatte, brings out every nuance and detail of the story perfectly. Seans inflections, and his voice is a HUGE part of the audio books ease of listening to.
If you read or listen to this series, then you will want to listen to the indian hill series, and spirit clearing.
Most authors, I think, Seem lost when they go from one writing subject to another. Mark Tufo does it with incredible ease. His Indian Hills series is awesome. And its on another subject I never cared to listen to before. Aliens.
Because of Mark Tufos works, I am listening to other books with aliens and zombies. I have quit comparing them to Tufos books, it really doesn't seem fair. Its like comparing monets work, to what I can do with crayolas.
In short, if you are on the fence about trying this type of book, start the series, and hang on, it's a hell of a ride!!

A Break For Mike, NEVER!!!!!
For every book i read, I feel sorry for Mike... He never gets a break.. NEVER!!!! so many many monsters here, some are really interesting.. and so many changes in the story plot.
New enemies and new team is in as well.
But the ending of this book was refreshing and happy, you guys will like it....
This zombie series is really one of my favourites, and Mark Tufo is doing a great job in this series and in others, Mike is a very interesting character.

Fantastic! The story continues
Would you listen to Zombie Fallout 8 again? Why?
Yes, I will listen to this and the preceding 7 other audiobooks again and Lycan
Who was your favorite character and why?
Tripp, reminds me of people I know too well.
What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?
This guy is great, really captures the intensity of the story and each character
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laugh and still laughing after I finished it.
Any additional comments?
If you are a hardcore Talbotinite (if it's not a word, it should be) like me, you do not want to miss this latest chapter in the series.

I waited and I enjoyed
What did you love best about Zombie Fallout 8?
I felt the wait for book 8 was a long one, I enjoyed the previous 7 that much so I had high a need for it sooner and expectations as well as questions. Would this be the end, how could Mark Tufo finish the series or continue it and in this I found out and Mark Tufo did not let me down. What did I love best about Zombie Fallout 8 - the wit, Mark Tufo has a gift for throwing out those lines that give that chuckle of pleasure, irony, a shake of the head and a giggle.
Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Having only heard Sean Runnette in this series I would say he is perfect. Sean has Talbot down perfectly.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh boy yes, but unfortunately us chumps have to work.
Any additional comments?
I have loved this series, and recommend it to anyone who likes a darn good zombie book and with humor, with vampires too and characters you can imagine.
I have to say Tripp is by far my favorite character. He keeps it real for me. How he survived the Zombie hordes is perhaps another story (hint, hint) Mr. Tufo.
I have had the pleasure of listening of the previous 7 in a series which for me gave me a month or more of isolation and high listening stats which proves the enjoyment. And this one would have been the icing and now I ask will there be more.... I will wait.

getting the series back on track!
Which scene was your favorite?
mike, tommy, pork chop, a fire hose, a hoard of zombies, and fire axes wielded with vampiric speed and strength.
Any additional comments?
when the last book ended, mike and his family were prisoners of the dimenci (sp?) group. bt and justin had received a vaccine for their zombie virus infection and seemed to be ok. tommy is no where to be seen. he is thought to be blown to bits when the dimenci group stormed their last location. mrs. denoe arrived at the secret compound with dennis. surprisingly, she is part of the dimenci group b/c of her late husband, who she murdered.
zf8 picks up after zf7's abrupt ending. i won't spoil any of the plot, but it does seem like the extra time between the stories has helped tufo get back on track. either that, or his writing is just so much better than most of the other z-writers out there.
what am i talking about? the dialogue. the dialogue between the characters is great, especially the bantering, and this is where tufo really shines!
most of the characters are given just the right amount of time throughout story; however, i would have liked to see where justin's head is after all he's been through, but with soo many characters, i guess it's hard to manage.
i liked the pacing of the story. it takes place over a couple of days and doesn't seem rushed. the action is intense and even with mike's enhanced vampiric abilities, he's always in a pinch. i'm glad tufo didn't drag out the whole being captured and being prisoners plot line.
overall, an enjoyable and entertaining addition to the series.

If you like the ZF series you'll like this as well
I really liked this book as I do with (nearly) all of Mark Tufo’s books and if you’re a fan of his other books especially the others in the Zombie Fallout series you’re going to like this one. It’s full of Talbotisms, quick one-liners and plenty of Zombie action and gore (and Trip I love that guy). The one problem I have with this book is the ending. I won’t totally give it away but…stop reading if you don’t want some spoilers.
Can’t these people just go back to Maine and live in peace for a little while? I know eventually they do because I read Lycan Fallout, but now you’re adding in more Vamps to the equation? Can’t they just rebuild for a little bit and just relax? Maybe I feel bad for them but when ZF 9 (or Vampire Fallout 1) comes out I’ll be sure to pick it up to make sure that I can follow Mike’s adventures either way.
As always Sean Runnette does a wonderful job with bringing all the story to life with his wonderful narration.

A must read series
One of my favorite authors. A must read series. There are more books to complete the story.
