This book took a while to get going, some of the loose ends from the previous book needed tying up, but it made a great story once it had.
The final few chapters closed the story nicely, the last chapter especially.
All in all, a fitting closure of the series.

A fitting finale

I've been told the ending of this book is great and I whole heartedly agree. It isn't perfect and there are a few slow points but that can easily be overlooked.

A great end to a brilliant series

The Mortal Engines Series is well worth the investment. An engaging story that is a pleasure to listen to. A grand concept, large in scope and covering two generations of fast paced Steam Punk fun. There is enjoyment here for all ages from 16 to ...... well to my age, let's just let it go at that. I will be watching out for more from Philip Reeve.
