There was so much depth to the characters and some of the exchanges between them were absolutely beautifully told with subtle nuances of emotion and thoughts rippling across and through the scenes.
Although it does read a little like a D&D adventure game with typical characters, there were also unusual and intriguing twists and details to the story and the world created.

The first thing is the trilogy wraps up the story and does not leave you hanging for a follow up. Also everything comes together well. The three books combine into a detailed fascinating enthralling tale with wonderful characters. Would highly recommend this book.

Well the narrator is always awesome, - Tim is the reason I listened to the book. And, as always, he rocked. Totally bought the book to life.

Notwithstanding, the story is lovely! It's high fantasy, and just completely 'pleasant'. No gore, swearing etc. Don't get me wrong - I love the first law trilogy as much as the next guy. In fact, grimdark is my preferred genre. But it just made a really nice change to have a story focused story that was easy to listen to.

If I'm being really critical, book 3 wasn't quite as good as 1 and 2. It was ever so slightly less compelling. As others have said, the races, fantasy tropes were all there in full effect across the trilogy. The characters were great. With one of two exceptions. But you can't love everyone right!

If you like fantasy, and fancy a jolly good story, jump into this. You wont be disappointed.

The trilogy has been one of the most delightful stories I have ever experienced.

From the beginning I was hooked, the teller of the story’s voice appears to be as magical as the the tale he has telling. Usually the end of a story disappoints me but this ends as well as it should.

it good entertainment but doesn't require any thought from the reader. you can see what's happening a mile away. but likable characters with decent chemistry
