Summary

This is the first book in the series, and it ends with a cliffhanger. Intended for listeners 18 years old and older. May contain triggers.

I was raised by the Devil himself. Formed into a man who was unreachable. I went from the boy with bruises to the man with a trigger.

Killing is the only thing that calms the itch. The demons inside were a constant battle....

Until she changed everything.

Problem is, when you spend most of your time in the dark, is it smart to step into the light?

One of my all time faves

I've read this book on my kindle about 20 times and one day while suffering from a stomach flu i could listen to while in bed. in glad I picked this book. Conner and Lacie do this book justice. Trigger is just so broken and I fell in love with Conner's voice portraying him. I can't wait until Drake releases the second book on audible even though I've already read it. If you like dark, raw books about sexy alpha men this is the right book for you.

Trigger is alive and so is the Devil

Wow...just wow! I’ve never been an audiobook fan but I love J.L. Drake and the Devil’s Reach trilogy. I wanted to experience Trigger in a different way. It was just as good as flipping pages...once I started I couldn’t stop. Connor Goff and Lacie Glennox do an incredible job of bringing Trigger and Tess to life. The story telling makes the imagery so much more intense. Now I just am dying to hear DEMONS!!!

Did not enjoy

Full disclosure, I only made it half way through. I plan to return this one. The story was light, while the sex and violence was intense, so it just felt icky. Midway, I didn't feel connected to the characters at all. The male narration was a performance, the female, not so much. I can't recommend this one. Try TM Frasier, Tillie Cole, Jamie Begley, Joanna Wylde, or the early Kristen Ashley books for MC romance with fully engaging stories and characters you can forgive bad behavior because you fall in love with them along the way.

🌻A trip to the dark side!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 Be aware, this is a trip through a seriously disturbed mind. The Darkness isn’t like some of the tougher BDSM romances. This book has brutal violence. Imagine the most brutal things that one person can do to another and you’ll probably be pretty close. There is also scenes with child abuse; both physical and sexual. Both the Hero and Heroine suffer from their own personal demons. They do help each other, a bit, but this is not a HEA story. As a matter of fact, this is a trilogy, so part one and two are both ended with cliffhangers. These characters’ aren’t looking for redemption and they live strictly by an, “eye for an eye” lifestyle; with no regrets. Before listening to this trilogy, be aware that this level of violence is constant, throughout the series. The book is well written and is likely a pretty accurate representation of the lives of a 1% biker club that doesn’t even attempt to follow the law.

j l Drake has a new fan!

This is my introduction to this amazing author. The characters were intriguing, unique and strong. The story itself kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. I can't wait to start the next book!

oh ok I see you!

This was a pleasant surprise as I've had a terrible string of bad reads this past month but this was pretty awesome! I had low expectations but it was a delight to listen to. Some moments were cringy but not for the violence or sex; it was the 'oh I'm too fvcked up for you to be happy' or the "I'm hardcore so I listen to Slipknot" 😒😒😒 BS. As a long-standing Metalhead I can tell you that's not that hardcore but yeah ok I get it. Overall 👍

Cliffhanger

The series is not complete, if I’d known I would have waited. The story was interesting, graphic and hot.

Big disappointment

I have other novels by this author but this one I didn't like. The entire book is so raw. I kept going to see what developed and the ending left me feeling I wanted my time.
