Another great listen
I only recently got into the Cussler's adventures of Dirk Pitt during the first British covid lockdown. Although I started with the last book, Celtic Empire, I've quickly worked my way through each title chronologically. I found that some titles are easier to get into, like Inca Gold, and Shock Wave. The other titles seem to take a while to get going, but every one has been worth finishing.
Treasure of Khan is one of the latter titles, seemingly slow to start, but the pace quickens with every chapter, finishing strong. Scott Brick's narration is amazing, his voice is one I could listen to reading the phone book. Brick's pronunciation of some words can sound off to a British ear, like his pronunciation of Chile, I would pronounce it "Chilly", where Brick's pronunciation is "Cheelay", other than that, he is a superb narrator. Just about to sart Arctic Drift

back to basics
Considerably better than the previous few that focused too heavily on Dirk and Summer, this is a proper Dirk Pitt adventure

Another great adventure.
Yet another great read by Clive Cussler. From the start I was totally immersed in the world of Dirk and his companions, carried away in my mind into the sights and sounds of the story. Clive Cussler has a way of gripping my imagination and holding it firmly throughout the story which isn't always an easy feat as my mind wanders easily if the story isn't good. The characters come alive so well in my mind I feel I know them personally, his descriptions of the locations are vivid and realistic and the storyline gripping to the point of annoyance when I have to turn off the book for awhile.
