Great book just not a great audiobook

Clearly a great book but lots of numbers and stats for a audio book making it hard at times to follow. No clear table of contents / chapters so difficult to listen to the bits of interest.

Very superficial rehash of old ideas

This book summarizes all the traditional/obsolete ideas we have been hearing for the last decades. A shame, considering the worsening global health crisis, the role of the food industry, and the impact our nutrition has on the environment.
Moreover, listening to this book is not a great experience - with frequent references to PDFs - which I suspect is caused by the specific layout of the paper version.

Nice but not so well organized

There's a lot of great info here but the topics at points in the book start to be almost random and unrelated to the chapter's title which threw me off multiple times.

I'd imagine it'd a great book,

But not a good audio book. Too many tables being read out, or lists. Whenever she starts talking about something interesting she stops after a sentence and says "Look at the attached pdf"

Full of information

This audiobook is perhaps better suited to print than audio, there is so much information but feels like a text book is being read to you at times. The information is good but perhaps not the best fit for an audio book. Also agree with other reviewers, that the audio book frequently relates to the associated PDF which does not exist. useful if you are wanting to learn but would not recommend for an audiobook on this topic.

Very scientific book

This is book is great, it’s scientific and provides so much data to be aware of.
However as an audio, can be difficult to follow, as it’s not really storyline to it.
I was impressed with it that I actually bought the book for ease of reference, and also to have the ability to go back easily and find info.

Thanks

Everything you need

This isn’t sexy, funny and is quite frustratingly structured at times. However, this is an evidence based one stop shop for nutrition information. Don’t pay attention to other comments about biases or ‘up-to-date’ research. It presents the information you need to make informed decisions which is often at odds with influencers on instagram. I’m a nutritionist and I certainly rate this book highly.

Not suited to audio book format

1. No PDF!
2. No chapter titles or useful chapter structure, which may have made the structure a bit easier to follow. As it was it seemed to jump from one topic to the next with no easy to follow narrative.

There is probably a lot of good content in this book, but the format and structure of the audio book make it sound like someone is reading a dictionary at you.

Confused and inaccurate

I honestly couldn’t finish this because I found the structure of this book poor, it didn’t flow or make much sense and there seems to be a bias toward animal and dairy rather than at a minimum a balanced view. From recollection there was no mention of the WHO rating processed meats and red meat as carcinogenic and the “go to” for most minerals, vitamins and macros was all animal based … there is also no pdf to refer too although it’s referenced in the narrative
