The story
The End Times are coming. In the warrens of Skavenblight, a new power is rising. The verminlords walk the earth and they plan to lead the skaven to their destiny as rulers of the world. But for Queek Headtaker, the only destiny that matters is his own, as he plans his final assault on Karak Eight Peaks. In the depths of that ancient city, two rival kings - the goblin Skarsnik and the dwarf Belegar - prepare to meet the onslaught. And in Karaz-a-Karak, High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer presides over what he knows, in his heart, is the end of the dwarf empire. The Horned Rat rises and nothing will ever be the same…

What I enjoy about this book is that it's fairly self contained, focussing on the stories of Queek, Belegar, Skarsnik and Thorgrim. With Thanquol popping up here and there to fail upwards spectacularly.
If you're a Dwarf, Skarsnik or Skaven fan give this book a read as for the most part it gives proper service to all three races. If you're going to give any End Times book a listen this one is worth it
Spoilers below:
Granted I do see the problems with Thorgrims send off, but I'll be honest didn't ruin the book for me. The absolutely stupid grin of pleasure I got from Queek's death and the actual sadness I felt for Belegar and Gobbla gave me hours of satisfaction.
A Good End times Book?
