About this listen

The Nuremberg Trials were the most important criminal proceedings ever held. They established the principle that individuals will always be held responsible for their actions under international law, and brought closure to World War II, allowing the reconstruction of Europe to begin.

This was an excellent account of the most important trial in human history. All the disgusting acts carried out by these evil scumbags is laid bare and explained clearly.

the horrifying reality of pure wickedness

better than a lot of other books based on the subject. Excellent narration.
I was mildly amused when the Americans(quite rightly) are laying into the Nazi's for their disgusting treatment of the Jews , but happily ignoring segregation laws in the deep south.

Well worth a listen

I’m no expert on Nuremberg but still found nothing new in this book which overall was a disappointment. No quotes from Göring, for example, that one hasn’t heard before. In addition, no arresting insights or analysis of Nazi mentality. This book just comes across as a sort of pot pourri, with no feats of interest.

I was horrified at first to hear this narrated in such a high male voice: I suppose one rather expects such a serious subject to be delivered in a deep, sombre one! Once I got used to the octave I became fed up of his unfailing sing-song tone in every sentence with no differentiation, and missed a few chunks by being lulled into sleep. No great loss!

Rather trite
