Excellent narration. I felt sure with this narrator I would finally be able to comprehend this story. I have tried the book, seen the movies, but failed to get it. I failed this time and gave up.

Perhaps the writing style is too archaic for my old brain? Perhaps it's the way the female thinks she can twirl any man around her fingers? Perhaps it just too noir? Whatever, I gave up after almost 2 hours of being unable to get to grips with it.
