Summary

Ever fallen in love with someone you shouldn’t have fallen in love with? Alice Di Santo has it all - everyone says so. Perfect boyfriend, great job, settled home life. But when she meets Rachel Cramer, all that changes. Because Rachel is everything Alice has never considered - and now cannot stop thinking about.

This charming tale of coming out in your 30s sees Alice risk everything to go after what she wants, soon discovering she’s deserving of love - and especially this love, which takes her breath away.

The fourth book in the London Romance Series features favourite characters from the previous three novels, and proves that falling in love is never scripted.

Really well narrated romance

A stand alone story well written and well narrated but I highly recommend listening to the other three books in this series. I’ve both read and listened to all in this series and listening does give a different perspective. If you’re looking for a good romance book to listen to while relaxin on holiday, then this and the other three are a definite. Excellent.

Cute and sweet!

Enjoyed this book overall! The plot was realistic and happens every day. I liked the passion between the main characters and how they handled all their hurdles. Highly recommended.

Best Yet in the Series

Excellently written and wonderfully narrated, The London of Us is the best book in the series thus far bringing together all of the characters and couples we’ve met and learned to love in the earlier books.

What appeals most to me about Clare Lydon’s many books is the wonderful people we get to meet - mostly lesbians! But the families are great too - supportive and fun parents, and brothers and sisters who have real relationships with each other.

The main lesbian in this book is struggling with who she is and what she wants from life. No matter our age, it is easy to identify with Alice’s unease. But this book never falls into the trap of familiar devices but instead presents us with realistic scenarios which could confuse and stress any of us. The tender and sexy scenes throughout the novel are always in good taste and remind us of the early days of finding one’s true love.

The London of Us is highly recommended and joins my collection of fabulous lesbian fiction.

Maybe I was British in a past life...

I absolutely love anything by Clare Lydon and have read this book so I knew I was going to love the story. Lucy Price-Lewis does a masterful job bringing this angst filled story to life. Who knew discovering you were not as straight as you thought in your mid thirties would create inner turmoil? Lol!! Alice's inner musings reminded me of all the things I was thinking at 25. Great book!!!
