Summary

The Ultimate Second Chance Might Take A Lifetime…

Eunice Starling and Joan Hart were star-crossed lovers in the late 1950s. Two women who fell in love at the wrong time, wrong place. This is their extraordinary tale.

For book eight of the London Romance series, time-travel back to 1958 for a front-row seat to Eunice and Joan’s epic love story. Watch as they meet, court, and fall head over heels. Feel your heart break as family pressure rips that love from their grasp. Then swoon as a bunch of lost love letters mean they meet again, 60 years later. Their happy ending might not have happened then, but in the present day, Eunice and Joan have another chance at love. Are the pair destined to finally live out their big London dreams?

Clare Lydon has produced one of her most dazzling romances yet, that tells of burning passion, shattered dreams, and ultimately, enduring, endless love.

I'm in bits

What a wonderful love story. A real journey through time and how easy we have it now by comparison. You will need a hanky or two. Enjoy.

Beautiful romance

When India Contelli and the lost loves she reunited in ‘Hot London Nights’ appeared I briefly thought I’d downloaded the wrong book but quickly realised that this was the story of those star crossed lovers. A neat segue into this new story and a fabulous tale made all the more poignant by the fact you know from the start how it ends. It has all the hallmarks of Clare Lydon’s books-well written with fully fledged complex characters and is brought brilliantly to life by the narrator. Loved it. Plan to listen again.

tearful

born in 58, same yr as the start of this book. I knew this would be sad, but it's beautifully written and engrossed me into the age, with people's lifestyle excellent historical fiction , a romantic novel like no other. the change in narrator added that aura around the story, make sure you have a box of tissues as I did and enjoy 60 yrs and thankfully how ladies like these helped change perception, wonderful.

Narrator

A great love story read beautifully by Claire Storey. Very emotional and heartfelt. Clever writing, would make a great film or tv series.
