Summary

Mickey Haller is a Lincoln lawyer--a criminal defence attorney who operates out of the back of his car, a Lincoln, taking whatever cases the system throws in his path. He's been in the business a long time, and he knows just how to work it.

When a Beverly Hills rich boy is arrested for brutally beating a woman, Haller has his first high-paying client in years. The evidence mounts on the defence's side, and Haller might even be in the rare position of defending a client who is actually innocent. But then the case starts to fall apart, neither the suspect nor the victim are quite who they seem--and Haller quickly discovers that when you swim with the sharks, it's easy to wind up as prey.

The Lincoln Lawyer

Great naration by Adam Grubber, made this book one of the best I have listened to. I will now be looking for other books narated by him. My eyes are not so good now, so I listen more than I read. I have listened to samples of books I have read, & enjoyed, but it is usually the narator that makes or breaks the deal for me. I'm this case it was a winner for me.
But I must finish by saying it was a very good story by Michael Connolly, and I will look out for more of his books.

A great read with suspense to the end

A great story well written and well read. Full marks to Michael Connelly for starting with a bang and holding to the end. The twists and turns were great. Whilst we all know how it is always going to end but getting there is the fun.

Excellent Story

Excellent, gripping story, and superb narration. However, a slight disappointment and annoyance was caused by the audio dropouts and sqeltching noises throughout the story.

Connelly Classic

Well, this was the last book I needed to listen to in order to complete the entire library of Mr Connelly.

I have never finished one feeling disappointed. Micky Haller and Bosch are half brothers, but that's where the similarities end. They are completely different characters with opposing professional ethics, mindsets, and approaches, etc. Perhaps their morals are on a par, somehow.

Anyway. As different as he is to Bosch, Haller is a brilliantly conceived and written character. I hope there's more material planned for this character.

Great narration on this book too.

I honestly have no idea what I'm going to listen to next........

5 stars all round.

Intermittent interference

Great story but there were some times when it slipped and some words were lost
