Summary
Robin Loxleigh and his sister Marianne are the hit of the Season, so attractive and delightful that nobody looks behind their pretty faces.
Until Robin sets his sights on Sir John Hartlebury's heiress niece. The notoriously graceless baronet isn't impressed by good looks, or fooled by false charm. He's sure Robin is a liar - a fortune hunter, a card sharp, and a heartless, greedy fraud - and he'll protect his niece, whatever it takes.
Then, just when Hart thinks he has Robin at his mercy, things take a sharp left turn. And as the grumpy baronet and the glib fortune hunter start to understand each other, they also find themselves starting to care - more than either of them thought possible.
But Robin's cheated and lied and let people down for money. Can a professional rogue earn an honest happy ever after?
Contains mature themes.

Heartwarming
From the blurb and the title of this book I wasn't expecting the heartwarming story that this became.
Be warned if you aren't open-minded or gay you probably won't enjoy it. I did.

Wonderful
If KJ Charles dashed this off when she had writer’s block, then she is a genius indeed. MLD’s narration is perfect too. He had me at chapter 1 of the first KJ Charles book I listened to, and I have raced through them all since. I love her writing, character development and humour, in this book as with her others. Marvellous.

So good! Better than what it may appear from the outside
I truly enjoyed it. I love how change for the 2 main characters is around learning to have greater empathy for others. Lovely and fun.

utterly delightful
This is a delectable confection of absurdity, comedy, smut and sweetness, yet keeps its feet firmly on the ground of the realities of the characters' lives. Masterly.

Classic K.J. Charles
Another fantastic historical romp - literally. Everything I love about this author’s writing. Breeches, humour and a little smut! Fabulous!

A good ending
I struggled to like the characters in this story at first, but I’m glad I ‘read’ on. It’s a good romance with a conflict about high regency society. A very satisfying ending when the pompous elite get what’s coming to them. Not sure the narrator was young enough though, but he did a good enough job of it. Despite making Hart sound like a blustering eighty year old when apparently his character was 32.

Very Enjoyable
An enjoyable story full of witty and clever characters. I think it’s a fairly realistic rendering of Regency London and social dynamics

Excellent as ever
Charles can do no wrong; I know this delightful Heyer-but-gayer bonbon of a book was knocked out while she was struggling with writer’s block on the Will Darling series, but it’s an absolute delight.
Collins puts in another very engaging performance as the narrator.
