Excellent
An excellent follow up to the Foundling Duke. Audrey Harrison has become one of my favourite authors in the genre.
In this story we see the twins who were separated at birth finally be reunited as adults and with their birth mother as well.
Their story is sad, bittersweet and full of surprises.
The romance was well written and entertaining. The narrator, Melanie Fraser, gives a wonderful performance. I wanted to listen to this book all in one go as I couldn't put it down.

Exciting!
This is the exciting story about three damaged souls and how, because of their connection, they manage to turn their lives around.
It is full of many twists and turns in the plot, scenes that made me sad and many more that made me really happy.
I loved the steadfastness, strength and belief in herself of the heroine, Emily as well as the way she gently manipulated and helped the man she had fallen in love with, Viscount Robert Wilding.
There is an absolutely delightful girl, Robert's niece, who is really sweet and quite caring of character.
Then we have Emily's "Aunt" Agnes. She is really strong of character and a big support to Emily.
I really enjoyed this story by Audrey Harrison (who writes beautifully) and the way it tied in with the first book in this series.
In the audiobook version which I listened to Melanie Fraser kept me enthralled with her interesting and varied voices and I was thoroughly entertained.
So, I am happy to recommend both the story and the audio and am very sure you will too.

The Foundling Lady
This is a sweet series, and I love how it ties back in to book 1. Emily has been kept in the dark her entire life about who she is and who her parents are. That is until life starts to unravel and all the secrets are revealed. As the secrets come out life gets a bit mixed up and crazy, but with any good historical romance things always seem to work themselves out! Melanie did a fantastic job with the narration.

Great Regency Story!
I really enjoyed this book with it's original storyline and characters. I loved how Audrey Harrison wrote the unexpected twists in the book and had certain characters to be very endearing while others were despicable. Melanie Fraser performed this book flawlessly. I loved how she had distinguishable voices for the various characters. Without giving away spoilers, the ending of this book was so good. I also loved how this is a standalone listen, yet some characters from The Foundling Duke had cameo appearances in this book.

As always, I have to state that this book was given to me for free in exchange for a review.
I always like to state that this does not impact my review or my opinion of the book. My reviews are honest and my own opinion of the story, performance, and overall thoughts on the book.
This book was definitely not my genre. So I will not judge it because it was not of interest to me.
Now, the story was slow and very boring, but it could be interesting to historians or people who are interested in classics.

Drama-Filled Fairytale
I loved the book for the simple reason that it tells an old-fashioned fairytale, and I love fairytales. What's very endearing about this book is that it also tells the stories of three people who had to suffer for the bad things that they did not do, and all three were able to triumph eventually.
It's refreshing to listen to a book with both story and narration that complement each other perfectly. I highly recommend The Foundling Lady for those who love regency romances.

Charming in that old-fashioned style I like...:)
It's the kind of romance that will enchant you with its old-fashioned charm of Cinderellas turning into Princesses, long-lost family members being found at the most opportune moments, and family secrets coming out and saving the day:)
The main characters - Emily, Robert and Agnes - quickly warm their way into your heart, both because they've suffered through no fault of their own and because they're good at heart and loyal (though at times a bit too stubborn for their own good:))... The background characters are equally sweet and loveable, and the villains (selfish rather than cruel, really) get their right desert...
I loved the book - it has that feeling of romances of old, with the storytelling moving smoothly and charming you with words, and more than one "lucky turn of events" which seem so unrealistic in modern love stories...:)
Narration by Ms Fraser is wonderful - she's a great reader of period pieces; she really does sound "ladylike" and adds that subtle feeling of gentility to the story, taking it to a higher level.

This is the second book in the Series, a standalone story, with interwoven characters from the first book. This is a sweet and clean historical romance. This story is very well written and the characters are wonderful. The story has unexpected twists. I love the ending. This is a beautiful story. The narration was well done. Melanie Fraser has a great voice, well paced, with a great range of voices, easy distinguishable. Her voice suits perfectly this Historical Romance. I enjoyed my listening.
