V Long

It went on and on and nothing really exciting happened but I did like the ending. And not just because it was over. Lovely narration.

Enjoyable listen

Really well read story, with both main characters having depth. The authors writing transports you to this paradise to travel through the twists and turns of the story. There were often unanswered questions or gaps, that later get filled in. Was a long story and only loosely connected to an actual dive. However very enjoyable and loved the unexpected twist at the end!

Overall a good story

The author takes a while to set up the scene and build the characters which was slow however this did create an in depth story with lots of twists and turns and finished strong will read another should a sequel come out!

No likeable characters and massive plot holes

Started off promising, good narration. But it became irritating and ridiculous about halfway through. Each character reveal is very far fetched, dealing with massive subjects in a shallow and uneducated manner. Not a single character was likeable or relatable. And there were such massive plot holes, such as timelines and character decisions being totally unrealistic, that I stopped being able to take it seriously and only listened to the last couple of hours because I’d listened to too much to ask for a refund. Also… for a book entitled “the dive”… very little of the book had anything to do with one brief dive early on in the book! Absolutely not recommended! Only giving it 2 stars because the narration was good.
