‘Deadly conspiracies, bone-crunching action and a tormented hero with a heart . . . packs a real punch’ Andy McDermott

HAS BEN HOPE FINALLY MET HIS MATCH?

The adventure began in STAR OF AFRICA, now ex-SAS major Ben Hope is in the most desperate situation of his life…

Held hostage by a despicable tyrant in the heart of Africa, it’s not looking good for Ben Hope.

General Khosa’s lust for blood is matched only by his lust for power – and he wants to use Ben’s superior military skills to turn his rabble of inexperienced boys into an army of lethal soldiers.

If Ben refuses, Khosa will kill the person he loves most. If he cooperates, he’ll bring more death and devastation to the world’s most violent, war-torn nation.

Either way, Ben will have blood on his hands – unless he can defeat Khosa. It seems an impossible task. But for Ben Hope, anything is possible…

The Ben Hope series is a must-read for fans of Dan Brown, Lee Child and Mark Dawson. Join the millions of readers who get breathless with anticipation when the countdown to a new Ben Hope thriller begins…

Whilst the Ben Hope thrillers can be read in any order, this is the fourteenth book in the series, and forms a two-part sequence with previous book STAR OF AFRICA.

Again, it’s Scott Mariani, Colin Mace and Ben Hope, what’s not to love?

It was very gory but sadly history, both recent and past, show that it is not all fiction. And I struggled with that. Because sadly there are many in the world who are extremely cavalier regarding the worth, or lack thereof, of other people’s lives. But at least through Ben Hope they don’t always get away “Scott” free! Thank you, Mr Mariani.

Very entertaining

Yet again, one more thrilling chapter in the series of Ben Hope. Excellent, thank you.

Lots of disappointment in this book, after listening to all of the Ben Hope books back to back. It was far too graphic in the violent scenes, and I found myself forwarding past these awful, descriptive scenes. it was as if the author has a very sadistic streak himself and has expressed it in this and the last book. Also, this book didn't show the normal, assertive, Ben Hope who I'm sure, going by previous books, wouldn't have let his, weak, spineless son, dictate to him what should have been done with the despotic villain. Consequently, many lives are lost when the old Ben Hope would have foreseen what would happen.
He would also have known what would have happened after the meeting with the chief of police towards the end of the book. To this end I found it very frustrating and disappointing.

Very bloody and very violent.
