Summary

The Top Ten Sunday Times best seller returns with a gripping new Ben Hope thriller.

Even when ex-SAS major Ben Hope is taking a holiday, trouble seems to find him. What started as a relaxing trip to the Deep South spirals into a nightmare when he’s wrongly accused of a vicious murder and forced to go on the run.

Target of a state-wide manhunt, the only way Ben can prove his innocence is to unearth a long-forgotten secret and track down the killers who slaughtered an innocent woman in a vendetta dating back generations. His quest takes him into the wild heart of Louisiana’s swampland, where all hell’s about to break loose. The bad guys will soon discover they made a big mistake....

An explosive new thriller from the master best seller.

It’s not as good as the rest

I’m a HUGE fan of this author but this book left me a bit disappointed. The narrator is one of the best on audible so it wasn’t all bad but I hope Scotts next book Is more engaging than this one.

Typical Ben Hope

Rip roaring adventure, fast and very entertaining, always enjoy Ben Hopes adventure, him and Jack Reacher should get together for a story, now that would be a read!, thanks to the author.

Tight, high quality writing with a great hero!!!

Mariani starts this book with swift action, after a teaser-opener. We flash forward to our hero Ben Hope arriving on scene. He quickly foils a liquor store robbery that was heading to the killing the clerk.

Instead of the quiet, anonymous vacation he was hoping for, Ben's background is questioned. Just how did one foreigner take down 2 of the parish's toughest crooks.

As the suspicion mounts, the story takes off!

The narration of this book is MARVELOUS! I highly recommend the Audible version of this well-crafted and well-written book.
