Summary

An unforgettable Ben Hope thriller from the number one best seller.

Includes exclusive Q&A with series narrator Colin Mace.

Life is good for ex-SAS soldier and rescue specialist Ben Hope. He’s found love, peace and happiness at last.... That is, until a man he’s never seen before sits beside him on a plane and makes him a proposal that turns his whole world upside down.

Now Ben must embark on a deadly mission to eliminate a former SAS comrade, the enigmatic, elusive and highly capable Jaden Wolf. If Ben fails, the people he cares about will die as punishment.

In a high-speed chase across Europe, Ben gradually learns the terrifying and disturbing truth about the men who have ensnared him in their clutches. A dark Satanic cult exists within the halls of power and the only way for Ben to save himself and his loved ones is to declare war on the forces of evil. But who will win?

Critic reviews

"Compelling from the first page until the last, Mariani and his fabulous protagonist Ben Hope entertain in a gripping tale that will have you turning the pages well into the night." (Mark Dawson)

"Thrilling. Scott Mariani is at the top of his game." (Andy McDermott)

"A high level of realism...the action scenes come thick and fast. Like the father of the modern thriller, Frederick Forsyth, Mariani has a knack for embedding his plots in the fears and preoccupations of their time." (Shots Magazine)

Another good one from Scott Mariani

An enjoyable read, lots of tension and near misses, but our hero always gets there in the end!

The Demon Club

I loved this Audible book from the first page to the interview with Colin Mace at the end!
This latest adventure in the Ben Hope series has to be one of my favourites of recent times, and I look forward to listening to more in the near future.

fantastic

Also has a great interview with the narrator at the end. Ben Hope stories are always fast paced and fun. Not believable but you don't really care.

A bit disappointing

I usually really enjoy Scott Mariani books but I just felt this one was a bit ‘light’ and lacked the oomph and excitement. The reading was great and breathed the usual familiar life into the characters but the plot didn’t really grip me as much as previous books. Maybe it was because it reminded me a bit of the old Hammer House of Horror TV programmes which may have coloured my perception. The background was interesting and well researched as usual. Not as good as others for me but still an enjoyable listen.

i really enjoyed listening to The Demon Club. Ben Hope was in the pocket of these people, they will kill Grace if he refuses to do their will first to find and kill Wolf an ex SAS brother.
Wolf dead Grace lives there can be no other way.

Great story and narration

I enjoy Colin Mace as much as I enjoy Ben Hope series and I must say, it is Collin who makes these series excellent! Can’t wait for the next book which would hopefully read by Colin again!

Not to usual high standard

I am a great admirer of Mariani’s audio books as they are often thought provoking. Plus Ben et al’s plans are brave & wonderful.
Unfortunately this book just didn’t have that extra magic injected by Mariani.
It is certainly enjoyable & not by any means a waste of time or money........ just cannot put my finger on it.

Not too shabby.

I have listened/read all of Scott Mariani books and have to say but this one kept me turning the pages and or fastened to my headphones. Again very difficult to put down and get on with normal life hence with much sadness the end of come sooner than I wanted.
regards the audible Colin Mace does a superb job, I personally think Colin Mace fits the Ben Hope story like a glove. I did enjoyed the little questionnaire with Colin at the end of the book. good to get to know him a little bit more.
I highly recommend this story.
