Summary

The spellbinding new Ben Hope thriller.

A lost manuscript. A savage murder hunt. A deadly secret.

While on a business trip to the UK, Ben Hope makes an impulse decision to attend a college reunion at his former university, Oxford. There he meets an old friend, Nick, now an internationally renowned classical musician.

But storm clouds are soon once again brewing on Ben's horizon. After Nick's brutal murder in an apparent home invasion robbery, Ben is drawn into the mystery of a missing music manuscript that may be a lost work by the legendary composer Johann Sebastian Bach.

The hunt for his friend's killers leads Ben across Europe and into bloody conflict with even more dangerous people than he'd bargained for. As his quest unfolds, so does the shocking truth about the lost Bach manuscript, a secret dating back to the very darkest historical chapter of man's inhumanity to man.

Ben Hope is one of the most celebrated action-adventure heroes in British fiction, and Scott Mariani is the author of numerous best sellers. Join the ever-growing legion of listeners who get breathless with anticipation when the countdown to the new Ben Hope thriller begins....

The Bach Manuscript

A good addition to the Ben Hope Series, though maybe a weaker storyline than some of the previous books.
Ben is in Oxford visiting an old friend. His friend is soon found murdered, and Ben embarks on a quest to avenge his death. It soon becomes apparent that the key behind the murder is the mysterious manuscript that was part of his friends collection. One that some people will be keen to get their hands on... by any means necessary..

Very well narrated by Colin Mace once again.

Enjoyable action packed adventure

Ben Hope on form as our Hero. I thoroughly enjoyed this action packed adventure. Scott Mariani back on form too giving us enough detail to enhance the story & make you ‘feel’ Hope’s need for revenge. Love it. (A couple of recent books seemed to have had an overkill on detail which affected the pace of a few stories)
Dear Scott Mariani - please write faster as I’ve only 3 books to go!

A gripping and entertaining listen.

I am really enjoying the Scott Mariani/Colin Mace combination.
As with all Ben Hope books it's a scintillating tale, in my opinion excellently written.

Unbelievable.

This has to be the biggest load of cliche ridden , silly , implausible rubbish ever printed , it started OK but a third of the way through the main character morphed into captain marvel , then surprise surprise two thirds of the way through he was joined by Wonder Woman . At the end the author claimed the right to be identified as the person responsible for it , I would have thought he would have wanted to hide somewhere dark.
