Summary

A centuries-old skeleton is discovered in a lonely Scottish Castle. It wears a crown and hides a curse. Swift, the detective friend of Major Heathcliff Lennox, now lives at Braeburn Castle, and it was he who uncovered the skeleton. As ghosts are heard and treasure-seekers appear, the murders begin. Delightful!

If you love Golden Age mysteries, the Heathcliff Lennox series is even better. This third in the series is the best yet. Who can resist a loney Scottish castle on Halloween? The product of a mature, bright, and amusing mind, Heathcliff's world is an entertainment oasis in the yawning desert of insipid muffin mysteries. The incredibly talented narrator, Sam Dewhurst-Phillips, seals the deal. Karen Baugh Menuhin is my hero; I can't wait for the next book.

I love this series! I laughed a lot at the humor the author injected from time to time!! Anxiously awaiting the the next book book in the series to be recorded! The narrator was excellent and hope he continues as he made the series so good!! You won’t regret using your credits for this series!!!

4.5

Books one and two of this series are a tough act to follow. The series is fun and laugh out loud funny. The characters are quirky and entertaining. Sam Dewhurst-Phillips is the perfect narrator for this series. I have to admit that I did figure out who dunit fairly early on. This one seemed a bit more disjointed that the previous two stories.

Absolutely loved it!

I love this series. This is the 3rd book and they have been wonderful. The characters are believable and have many layers. The mystery takes a lot of enjoyable twists and turns. I would definitely recommend the whole series!
