Having loved the first installment of Riley's tale I was eager to read the next; and relieved it was already available! However, this second installment takes a much darker turn with the pack's arrival in Vegas. As a dog lover I found it difficult to read actually due to the pack running into a dangers much worse than zombies. The pack work together to keep each other safe and in doing so, find out much more about each other. BenBen continues to be highly entertaining in his naive enthusiasm for life and two-leggers. Riley and the cat continue to work together in mutual distaste which makes for very funny dialogue. There is also a surprising new voice added to the fray.

The only thing that would make this story better is BACON!

Another short burst of fun but a much darker story

The second in the Riley saga. I had put off reading this for soooo long, no idea why when I have read all Marks books You really need to read this series. The story of a girl and her two dogs her cat and baby brother. Heading to Colorado during the Zompoc, looking for safety with her boyfriend and his pepper family. You won’t be disappointed.

What a wonderful book

Bit repetitive and one sort of knows where this is going, having said that I have enjoyed the two books

Unusual idea but enjoyed it

I didn't dislike any of it. I love all Mark Tufo's books. Really like the narration too, Sean does a brilliant job, as long as he doesn't try the English accent....ha ha ha.

the interaction of the animal and human characters where so believable
