"Paris's relatable guide will teach you how to build wealth and live life on your own terms." (Kristy Shen, co-author of Quit Like a Millionaire)
"A great roadmap to mastering your money - and learning a lot about yourself in the process." (Lynnette Khalfani-Cox, The Money Coach(R), author of the New York Times best seller, Zero Debt: The Ultimate Guide to Financial Freedom)
The book is clearly written from a U.S. perspective, which is most noticeable in chapters like education and investing, as the author draws heavily on her personal experiences as a U.S. citizen. That said, the core principles are still very relevant. With a bit of extra research and an understanding of how education systems and investment options work in your own country, much of the advice can absolutely be adapted and applied elsewhere.
The investment chapter, in particular, was thought-provoking. It really highlights how powerful early financial literacy can be. Reading this made me think that if I’d had access to this kind of knowledge in my 20s, my financial situation today could look very different, perhaps more stable, or even allowing for early retirement, as the author and others mentioned in the book have achieved.
Overall, this is a book I would wholeheartedly recommend as a gift for young adults, especially those just entering adulthood. I’d even go as far as suggesting it for teenagers around 16 years old, as a way to get them thinking early, building awareness, and developing confidence around money and life choices. It’s the kind of book that helps you hit the ground running, and I genuinely wish I’d read it sooner.
