Superb book, well written and enjoyable
I love these books and quickly became addicted to the series. Good characterisation and story telling are the basis of a good book and this series has it down to a fine art. Dorian is a interesting and fun character that you can easily see yourself befriending. Follow the series, you’ll be glad you did.

Compelling intriguing a must read
This series is getting better with each book, absolutely brilliant that Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel are now in the books, it is learning history as we enjoy the mystery, narration is brilliant and adds to the storyline

Loving this series more & More!
Who'dda thunk murder over and over again following Zoe would be "entertaining" but here we are! Made even better by Dorian. I love this little character with a huge personality. Honestly, the only thing I wish is that Zoe either comes out and tells Max the truth or she kicks him to the curb. I can't stand him.He doesn't trust her and every other word out of his mouth is he can help her find a shrink. His sister, Mina has only met her twice and trusts what Zoe has told her. I hope Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel continue into the next book.

Very Enjoyable
Read in a relaxed and most appropriate tone which matches the feel of the text and the story matter. Stories are a mix of modern day crime thriller and fantasy alchemy blended seamlessly into a very easy listening, enjoyable set of stories. I have been unexpectedly hooked and have binge listened to the first four books. Bring on more please.

A very good story, excellently performed
Hugely enjoyable. Imaginative. creates a world where alchemy exists, and its good points and bad are well worked through. Dorian is a great character.

Engaging characters and intriguing tales.
I am thoroughly enjoying the Accidental Alchemist series and the intriguing twists on the basic idea of alchemy. There is also a delightful irony in the ‘wholesomeness’ of the central characters, given the toxic reputation of alchemists in history. This particular story and it’s riff on alchemical art particularly appeals and Audible means I can listen while I creat my own art. I have spent some wonderful hours with Zoe, Dorian, Max and Brixton.
