Summary

"This series just keeps getting better and better!" - PRBC, Amazon

The galaxy is at war, and Space Team just can't seem to stay out of trouble. Following one close-call too many, the team hides out on a tiny backwater moon, hoping the hostilities between Zertex and the Symmorium will all just blow over.

But when first officer Loren's brother is taken prisoner and sentenced to death by the Symmorium, Cal and the others must make a choice - a choice that could spell the end of Space Team forever....

Packed with space battles, giant robots, and a dangerously obese man being sponged down with soup, The Guns of Nana Joan is the hilarious fifth book in the Space Team saga.

Another great Space Team adventure!

Another winner from Barry Hutchison. Brilliant characters, fast moving story and brilliant dialogue. Once again expertly narrated by Phil Thron.

Disappointing

The ending was disappointing with the bad guy doing the most cliche bad guy thing ever. for the ruler of a large part of the galaxy who it was kind of dumb. he had being put up as the main antagonist through out the series and is motivation ends up being that he is just evil and loves being evil, thats it. Nana jones and her teens felt unnecessary to the story. almost like the author needed something to pad out the book. Explanation of Lauren being literally the best fighter ever is not explained well and the explanation given is very shallow and unbelievable to the point where her last fight is like something found in one Van damme's cliche fighting movies where he's the blinded underdog but somehow manages to defeat a fully trained fighter cause of the power of being the main character. I've enjoyed the series so far, but this one was bad.

The Quality Continues

This one seemed a little slower than the others, a slow burn build to a ridiculously satisfying climax. An excellent listen from start to finish.

Exciting and seat grabbing

Barry J. Hutchison is a fonking genius and Phil Thron knows how to do voices perfectly. With these two working together they do work nothing short of spectacular by bringing the epic tale of the Space Team to life! I will be listening to space team Saga book 5 the guns of Nana Joan for a second time within the second day of buying the book it's just that good. I can't recommend this enough and I'm anxiously waiting the next thank you guys so much!

Keep em comin’

Absolutely love this series, and this installment delivers as good as any... New and entertaining levels of juvenile humor, punny one liners, and the casual throw away references... Read straight through and loved every fonkin’ minute... Glad to see the accelerated release of the saga to audio... I find myself regularly checking to see if the next one’s out’).

Space Team, refreshed and better than ever

I was actually kind of disappointed in Song of the Space Siren, feeling like the Space Team idea was all used up. I'm really glad I gave the series another chance, because The Guns of Nana Joan is exciting and fun and even a little heartwarming. The story is more complex than the predecessors in the series, and it takes a different direction from what I felt was becoming the Space Team formula. The new characters that are more or less on the good guy side are fun to hear about, and I found myself really rooting for them.

Phil Thron continues to really do a great job with every aspect of relating the story. His narration is well spoken and has great timing and his characterizations are spot on.
