Scientists have discovered one simple trick which will make you live longer, reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer's, and make you slimmer, happier, and more attractive.

It's not a magic pill or ointment- and it won't cost you anything. The secret? Harnessing the incredible power of sleep.

Over six episodes, a world expert on sleep will act as a guru to an insomniac comedian, transforming their nocturnal habits and showing how you can do the same. In our hectic modern lives, sleep can often feel like a luxury - studies have found that 52% of Britons struggle to sleep, while around 70 million Americans suffer from a chronic sleep disorder. However, our sleep guru and their celebrity apprentice will reveal that everything we thought we knew about sleep was wrong, and teach us how to capitalize on one of the most often neglected resources for transforming our lives.

Over the course of a journey to improve the star‚ sleep quality, they will demystify the science behind how and why we sleep so that we can use it to make concrete improvements to our health, wellbeing, and productivity.

Turns our David Baddiel wants to moan about his sleep but not change anything about his life to improve it.

I enjoyed the episodes, interesting, informative and enjoyable. Not sufficient in the series itself to solve the sleeping disorder but informative with valuable suggestions.

Enlightening

Good descriptive reasoning on parts of sleep which included his own analysis and potential improvement of sleep issues.

I actually learned more from this podcast than any of the books I've read about sleep - especially when it comes to insomnia and how to treat it, how our sleep cycles work and the things we do that prevents good quality sleep. Very hands on and helpful. However, it was very centred around David Baddiel's own sleep problems, and may not be useful to everyone. It could easily have been cut down a bit; the audio diaries didn't really contribute much and there was a lot of Baddiel talking about himself and over the experts, that seemed irrelevant, maybe even self centred. It did bring humour and a personal touch to the subject, but it may not be for everyone.
I also wish it had a broader perspective on sleep, on more aspects of it and different sleep disorders, other than just Baddiel's own. Sleep is so fascinating, this podcast barely scratched the surface.

Learned a lot, but a little too chatty for me
