Summary
There are several things I've always known growing up as the alpha's daughter. The most important ones being:
- My twin brother Cord was the perfect choice as successor to our father. Mostly because I wanted nothing to do with being an alpha-in-training.
- I had two of the best friends a girl could ever ask for: Cord and Augie.
Then everything changed when my brother was murdered, and I found myself needing to prove to my father I was more than capable of finishing what Cord started.
When I'm sent to a meeting for alphas and their heirs, I quickly learn things are way worse than I ever thought. Especially when a cocky shifter forces his way into my life, making me second guess everything I ever believed.
If I can't figure out who to let in and who to keep at bay, I could not only be risking my heart, but the people I love most in the world.
I've already lost my brother, and I'll be damned if anyone else dies on my watch.

Shades of a great listen
This is my first listen in Heather Renee's new series. There is heartbreak , hope and love , loyalty for family and mystery.
Heroine is Taya. Hero is Liam
Tanya is forced into taking action. She’s need to find out who killed her brother , along with her father (who is Alpha ) of the pack in a coma. Tanya needs to get answers , along the way she meets Liam . Liam is the Alpha of another pack .
Tanya not only meets Liam but his brother.
Liam is the Alpha of a East Coast Pack . Tanya and Liam have an attraction but they both are fighting it . It’s great that Tanya not only has An Alpha Even though from another pack as a friend but his brother as well . N

sucked me in
I loved this story cant wait for more to see what happens, I loved the way the mc comes into her own and I really enjoy her sassiness shes not afraid to do what has to be done, the narrator did a great job bringing the characters to life I really enjoyed it

As she closes in on her brother's murderer, the threats only escalate. He wasn't the only target, and now everyone she loves is in danger,

Suspenseful & Action Packed Start
This was an incredible start to a new series! Humans are disappearing and Cord, the alpha’s son, realizes that a rival pack is responsible. Their father is in a coma, Cord is murdered, and now Taya, his twin sister, has to take his place as the future alpha with her best friend, Augie, as beta. She’s out to avenge her brother’s death, find justice for the missing humans, and find help for her father, but pursuing the rival pack and murderer puts more of the ones she loves in danger. I loved Taya’s fierce, strong, and snarky personality and how Augie keeps her grounded and safe. Liam and Taya obviously have undeniable chemistry, but both of them are trying to fight it. I liked that this book focused more on the story than romance and it was filled with action, loyalty, and many twists and turns. This book had me on the edge of my seat and left me wanting more!
Kasi did an amazing job with this narration! She put so much emotion into her performance and brought every aspect and character of this story to life. Her voice drew me in from the start of her performance and I loved the different voices she gave each character.

Action Packed
A fast paced action packed wild ride, and it's only just the beginning. The author will keep you guessing throughout. I love that we have a strong female as the main character and she is really likeable. It also has a love interest, although it is not the focus of this wild ride.
Great narration! I feel like the narrators voice really helps us get a feel for how young Taya is as well as how inexperienced.

Good audiobook
I liked the narrator always an essential.
Great story sucked me in from start. Looking forward to start the next one. Great size book for commutes or a couple child free hours while doing housework. xxxx

Great shifter book
This is a great wolf pack storyline. Good strong characters with a good level of chemistry. Lots of action to keep you gripped to this book. Fantastic performance from Kasi. #audiobookobsessionreviewer

A good start
You get exactly what it says on the tin.
Shifters.
Hot male alpha love interest.
An intriguing story.
