Summary

The Sepher Yetzirah or Book of Formation is perhaps the oldest rabbinical treatise of Kabbalistic philosophy which is still extant. This thoroughly re-edited and revised version helps bring this text to life.

Foundation of Kabbalah

Would you listen to Sepher Yetzirah: The Book of Formation again? Why?

Yes, I would. This is the Book of Formation. This work, along with the Zohar, Book of Splendor, describes the core beliefs of Kabbalah. It is fascinating. It portrays a hidden universe behind the Old Testament, alias The Hebrew Bible, or, The Pentateuch.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Kabbalah is a character unto itself.

Have you listened to any of Alan Weyman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not yet. I do like the way Mr. Weyman performs the narration.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me feel that there is hope for mankind.

Any additional comments?

It is a good read. Having it read to me is just plain awesome!!!!!

Abrahams Book of Creation

Abrahams Book of Creation was amazing and began to explain how all things are spoken into existence. It is an amazing non-canonical source. Well worth the read as it begins to explain the essence of all things and even God's sexuality.

The pronunciation of the Hebrew words was wrong.

If was very hard to listen to this. The English accent and anglicized Hebrew made this devoid if any spiritual meaning.

It's finally starting to come together.

I've studied this info a few times over the years, but to hear it audibly helped with the cognitive coherence.

Essential source book for kabbalah

A clearly spoken reading of this translation, which is not simple given the Hebrew, with a good explanatory introduction.

Good performance.

The narrator was perfect for this book. The book itself is very hard to comprehend, though. I’ve bought a Kindle version to dive in deeper and try to truly understand what it all means.

The concept of letters being assigned a numerical value is very interesting, as well as the significance of the 10 Sephiroth.

Inconclusive

Feels so incomplete,it just felt as a brief history of the content instead of the text it self.but then again,my understanding of the occult is also brief and inconclusive

Subject great. Narration style not so much.

Enjoyed the subject matter greatly but narrator's narration style distracted from focus on the topic.
