Summary

I killed him with my lies, so I could save him with my love.

There were three things I was certain about.

I would never commit murder.

I would never strike another bargain.

I would never spurn the man I loved to marry the man I loathed.

But I murdered, I bargained, and then… I married.

Get swept away in the dizzying, slow-burn finale, where love coexists with betrayal, and Hunters with Faeries.

Final instalment of Cat and Ace's story!

Rising Silver Mist, the third and final instalment of Cat's story and before I even started it I knew this book was going to be an amazing ride. It brings us more of a look into the dangerous Fae world of Neverah. In true author fashion you can never truly understand who you can trust, who's on your side and who's your enemy. Keeping you guessing from the very first moment is what this amazing author excels at!

In true Cat fashion, her stubbornness and need to be fiercely independent, taking care of her own problems comes to back to bite her as she finds herself having to play along with the cruelty of fae society's elite. But never fear because eventually Cat gets the happily ever after that she wants and deserves after she fights extremely hard for it with the sinfully sexy and arrogant fae prince of Neverah, Ace Wood. I loved all the added extra the author has added into the story to make it even better! I wish we had had the chance to see more of Ace and Cat as a couple but hopefully book 5 will provide us with this.

Cruz Vega is the ultimate man of mystery and secrets, you never know what his plans are, is he a friend or is he an enemy and book 3 just makes this much worse. Obviously, not liking that he had been sidelined by his best friend as Cat chooses him over Cruz it seems like he does not take it well and is out for vengeance. The character development that he goes through, from the boy I once desperately wanted Cat to settle down with to someone who in I actually started to hate with every fibre of my being and back again? I honestly felt such rage when he gets between Ace and Cat who I'm totally hoping are endgame now! After saving Cat's father, Cruz demands her hand in marriage and my heart ached as Cat was forced into this and ripped away from the Fae she wanted most. The Fae Prince who got under her skin and has lodged himself firmly so no matter what he can't be moved or extricated ever!

This book got me so engrossed I literally couldn't put it down! It made sleeping incredibly hard because thoughts and questions and dire need to know all the answers to my questions kept me awake for hours. Add in the immensely talented Kasi Hollowell as a narrator who is perfectly coupled with the equally talented Tim Campbell and this audiobook is an absolute masterpiece! I'm truly sad to say goodbye to these wonderful characters but I know that they will still feature in the next book even if they are no longer the main characters.

Totally different scenery, captivating

Cat really hadn’t seen anything yet. She gets immersed far greater into this new world that has begun after her mother’s death. She is strong, fierce and brave… and caught in a bitter net with no way out. Devastating yet beautiful storyline with a great ending. I loved the entirely different world setting and how the world of the Faerie works and all their cruel laws and wonders. Well written, fast paced and for those who love audiobooks, very well narrated by both the male and female narrators. But (luckily) not entirely the end, as we now have a sequel, a spin-off that seems to promise to pick up the story right after the ending of this trilogy with our FMC Catori, continuing from Lily’s point of view
