Excellent Lecture!
Get your notebooks and Bibles out!!
Sometimes books on any religious topic can be stodgy or biased: this is neither. The lecture covers a great deal and is to the point but giving good examples of Prof Ehrman’s reasoning.
This would interest Christians who genuinely want to know how their scripture came to be and for genuine theologians who like to understand the historicity of the Bible.
Professor Ehrman is NEVER rude or condescending to people’s faiths, he is quite literally talking about the history of how the New Testament came into being.
If you love Scripture and find it fascinating, you’ll enjoy this lecture. However, if you’re a fundamental Christian who thinks that the whole of the Scripture is ‘God breathed’, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Fascinating and Educational
I bought this after reading Ehrman's recent book, "The Triumph of Christianity", and really enjoyed his unique perspective. Every lecture on this course was packed full of information, but never felt over-loaded. I have a library full of Great Courses audiobooks, and this is among the best!

A very nuanced academical review
The author analyses the historical value of the Bible. An interesting read! I also respect the fact he's not going against the idea of the faith or religions as a whole, but rather looking at the books as just that: books.
