Summary

We met in a bar.

The sex was phenomenal.

Then I walked away.

That’s where our story should’ve ended.

But he found me. Now he knows my real name, my secrets, and all the details of my sordid past.

I’m out for revenge, and no one will stop me; not even the pragmatic Zane Lewis. If he thinks he can silence me with the promise of more mind-bending sex, he’s wrong.

Ivy Matthews is the most frustrating female I’ve ever known. I’ve broken terrorists faster than I can pull information from her sweet lips.

The only time she’s pliant is when she’s under me, or when my mouth is exploring her sexy curves, and then the most exquisite filthy words and breathy moans fill my ears.

If she thinks she can walk away from me, she’s wrong.

I’ve found the one - my perfect match - my equal.

Come hell or high-water, Ivy is mine.

Blown away

I just can’t take it…. Zane….I mean do you really need to say more. The man, the myth, the dimples!!

It’s obvious from the previous books it would take a strong woman to tame the Viper and Ivy is that woman.

Both with baggage for days about their pasts, each desperate to help the other overcome obstacles, it almost becomes too much but common sense (helpfully knocked into shape by Wolf et al) prevails and our awesome couple become total couple goals.

Zane just is who he is, no apology, no excuse needed. An ass of the highest order, he won’t change for anyone. Ivy wins this on the basis she doesn’t want to change him, she loves him for who he is, sees underneath all the outer gruffness and adored him regardless. Zane for his part, just want Ivy safe and happy. That’s all, and he will do anything to make that the case.

Another amazing book in this series (the best one I would say) and the narration once again lifts this awesome story to another level. Both narrator’s brought such life to these characters and it’s a most fabulous listen

Love this story - it's superb!

Perfectly narrated by Jason Clarke and Carly Robins, Recovering Ivy is my favourite of the Red Team series and Zane and Ivy are one of my favourite couples ever! Packed with action, raw emotion and heart wrenching moments this is an incredible read and a story very close to the authors heart as revealed by her note at the begiining of the story.
Zane is as alpha as they come, an absolute controlfreak and incredibly protective of all those who both served under him and now work for him, responsiblitiy weighs heavy on him and he has no time for a relationship of any sort bar an occasional one night stand - definitely no breakfasts! He meets Ivy in a bar one night, they end up in his bed and life for Zane changes for ever.
Ivy is a survivor, she lived through a horrible childhood with her drug addict mother and although she escaped as soon as she could her mother's vicious verbal abuse is etched on her soul. On the outside Ivy is independent, sassy and feisty and has no trouble standing up to Zane much to everyone's amusment. On the inside she is heartbreakingly insecure, tortured by so many demons that leave her feeling completely worthless.
Can Zane heal Ivy's soul and crush her demons, will she let him? Can Ivy help ease Zane's pain and help him find the happiness he deserves?
An action packed story featuring all the wonderful characters from Red Team who bring their usual humour. Zane and Ivy are perfect for each other and brilliant together, I loved their interactions as well as all the heat between them.
The story is pacy, beautifully written packing an emotional punch dealing with an incredibly sad and difficult subject. I confess I really didn't want it to end and know I will be reading/ listening to this again and again. Thank you Riley Edwards for Zane and Ivy's story - it was superb!
