Summary
Rat Krespel ist ein mysteriöser Geigenbauer, bei dem sich die Nachbarschaft bereits an dessen geniale Schrullen gewöhnt hat und er die Eingesessenen nur noch bedingt in Erstaunen versetzt. Von daher wundert sich keiner groß, als der Rat eines Tages ein Haus ohne Bauplan bauen lässt, Anweisungen an die Handwerker scheinbar spontan ausspricht und am Ende ein stabiles Eigenheim steht.
Seine große Liebe Angela hat der Rat in Italien spontan aus dem Fenster im dritten Stock geschmissen - zum Glück ist ihr nichts passiert, aber aus dieser Verbindung ging die gemeinsame Tochter Antonia hervor, welche mit einer Gesangs-Stimme gesegnet ist, vor der alle Götter auf die Knie fallen. Leider beruht diese göttliche Stimme auf einem organischen Fehler im Brustkorb, so dass jegliches Singen für Antonia den nahen Tod mit sich bringen könnte. Wird der Rat seine Tochter jemals singen hören?
