Summary

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author C.D. Reiss comes a new standalone romance..."

Rules for my new job:

1) Do not have sex with a man in the office (again).

2) Do not break Rule #1

I'm playing it cool, clean, and professional...until I meet Roman Bianchi. He's not an insecure nerd or an ego-hole like the other kings of Silicon Valley. He's charming and handsome. He's fun, funny, and smart.

He's also in the office across the hall.

Two broken rules waiting to happen.

I can't lose this job over some guy.

But Roman's not just some guy. Under that suit and cocky smile, he's a prince.

Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new listeners, it's an introduction to an author's world. And for fans, it's a bonus book in the author's series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.

FANTASTIC!!! A yummy & delicious treat!

My first read of 2018 and I loved it!!! The characters are very relatable, interesting and filled with chemistry. C.D. Reiss writes in such a way that you can't help but be sucked into her world. The narration is done to perfection and there is never any doubt of how hot, engaging and evocative the story is. A HUGE THUMBS UP!!!

Quick and enjoyable!

3.5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!

I enjoyed this spinoff of King of Code. Raven kinda intrigued me and being the book whore that I am, was thrilled to get more of her story.
This was quick, fun, a little angsty, and a whole lot sexy. The narration was great and I loved how both narrators gave each character their own unique voice. Their storytelling had me getting lost in the story. Next thing I knew, I was hearing the classic "Audible hopes you have enjoyed this program."

Great side story follow-up to King of Code

This was a really good story. Roman and Raven made a cute couple. It was a hot quick read. I absolutely love Joe Arden, I just wish he narrated more in this story.

Roman and Raven

Short, quick and sexy. Raven takes a job to start fresh but on her first day she meets Roman, an employee of a contracted company. He makes her feel things and is totally off limits. But the pull Raven feels proves to be too much and her fresh start may turn into a repeat of the past.

Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood are superb narrators and came together wonderfully in this story.

SPOILER ALERT:

I enjoyed the story, but the ending was a bit rushed. I had higher hopes for Raven and expected something more than just Roman just quiting his job.

Better than your average quick novella.

I adore Joe’s work and Savannah has quickly become a favorite. So checking this audio out was a no brainer.

Story wise, it wasn’t bad. I used to work and play in San Jose, so it was great to visualize parts of the city. I really love that. Plus I liked how the techie lawyer was also a gamer. It was different and made sense.

The fraternization thing was a bit odd, but it fit what the author was trying to convey with her couple. I know so many tech couples, so it was hard to believe at first. Though kudos for the reasoning to hook up. It was simple logic.

All in all, it was a quick, hot novella.

Love Joe and Savannah

Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the storyline. Narration was what kept me going to the end.

4 stars

This was a cute read and it was nice to see Tayler Harden from King of Code again. Savannah and Joe did a great job narrating.

SLOW

The story lacked substance. Pretty boring. Book was to damn short!!
Narrators both were good. I love Joe Arden... but his roll was sparse.
The end was short and quick.
Not a lot of thought went into this story.

Short and hot

Very quick story with a nice ending. Female narrator was only so so but Joe Arden was great
