I had no idea to what degree pain had been affecting my life. I implemented a number of the cognitive behavioral techniques and many of the dietary suggestions. After about a week, I realized the pain in my knee was all but gone. It's hard to believe, but I've been able to stop taking certain substances for pain and enjoy my life without my consciousness being altered. As I went back on some of the usual foods, I noticed that I no doubt have food intolerances to boot. Glad I got this book.
