About this listen

Nephilim Giants, Watchers, Archangels. This in not your Sunday School Noah's Ark.

This audiobook is a novel of the Genesis Bible story of Noah based on ancient historical research. It's the first novel in the series.

In an ancient world of darkness, fallen angels called Watchers rule as gods and breed giants called Nephilim.

Mankind is enslaved to evil.

Noah, a tribal leader and good family man, just wants to be left alone to make a living off the land with his wife and sons.

But he soon learns that evil never leaves you alone. It comes after you - and your family - with a vengeance.

Now Noah must rescue his family from the grip of supernatural evil before the Deluge comes and carries them all away.

A wild ride of spiritual redemption and action-adventure that takes the listener on a journey from the heights of heaven to the depths of the underworld.

Written by respected Christian and best-selling Biblical author, Brian Godawa.

This is a great book and listened to it none stop finishing in a day. Paint a touchable more real day to day picture of the land, it's people and a pantheon of heathen Demi gods. Must go start book two!

Great mix of ancient history, myth & the bible

I listened to Noah Primeval after finishing Godawa’s research-based book, When Giants Were Upon the Earth. This novel is a fictional retelling of Noah’s life, the culture surrounding him, and how the worship of God and lesser gods might have looked in his time. While parts of the story verge on the fantastic, they are highly entertaining and grounded in biblical and historical speculation.

Don’t expect the Sunday School version of Noah and the Ark. Instead, prepare for fantastical creatures—that you actually will find in the Bible. Godawa takes several of the beings described in the Bible literally, and he explains his reasoning thoroughly in the appendix.

The novel feels like a blend of The Lord of the Rings and Indiana Jones. It’s snappy, exciting, and imaginative. The dialogue is often witty and fast-paced, reminiscent of classic adventure films.

I initially expected a historical novel about Noah, but was pleasantly surprised to discover a thrilling action story that expands the few biblical lines into an entire mythic universe.

I recommend this book both as an engaging piece of entertainment and as a fresh lens through which to appreciate how strange and wonderful the biblical worldview truly is.

Wait, what? Noah the tribe warrior?

I really enjoyed this. Obviously a lot of artistic license in it. The only thing I was a bit surprised at is that nephilim genes got onto the ark. That would certainly not happen. God wipes life on earth away because of the genetic defilement and then lets the defilement onto the ark? hmmmmmm No way.

Excellent all round
