Summary

Indy will do anything to prevent his mobster ex from finding him. Their last encounter left Indy recovering for months in the hospital, and, ever since, he's become an expert at hiding in plain sight.

Determined to stay under the radar, he takes on a new identity and moves from place to place. His life has no room for friendships, let alone love, so he keeps his heart firmly closed. After all, he has nothing to offer but a damaged body and a broken soul. Plus, he's so done with men. Until he meets the man who breaks through all his defenses.

Former Army Medic Noah came back damaged from his last tour in more than one way. Between supporting his best friend-with-benefits Josh who's struggling with PTSD, dealing with his own issues, and the stress of his job as a physician assistant, rebuilding his life seems impossible. There's little time for what Noah needs, let alone for what he wants. When he meets Indy, Noah discovers what he wants more than anything: for Indy to stay. But how will a relationship with Indy work when Noah needs Josh as well?

Indy never expected the strong, confident Noah to be as damaged and broken as himself. But what will happen if he starts letting Noah in? Indy knows he should run to protect Noah and Josh. Noah needs Indy to stay more than anything. But will what little he has to offer be enough to make Indy trust him and stay?

No Filter is a steamy M/M romance featuring an open relationship (no cheating!) that ends with a HFN but with the promise of a HEA. It's the first audiobook in the No Shame Series, and is not a stand-alone novel. It contains hot sex, a hint of a menage, lots of talk about hot sex, flashbacks of said hot sex, and...Oh well, you get the idea. Also: trigger warning for mentions of sexual abuse.

Nice story with a HFN ending

This is the first time I have listened audio prior to reading the book, I really enjoyed it and followed the story easily.

Kenneth did a really good job of choosing the voices for the characters, including the two voices for indi. It was clear who was speaking so easy to follow,

When I read the blurb for this story I was confused as to whether it was a mm or mmm, the relationship between indi, josh and Noah is amazing and I am so happy about how it ended for now... and off to read book 2 as I need to know what happens next.

This was a really nice story although had some hard to hear elements, possible trigger for sexual abuse, glad the author didn’t go into detail. The sex scenes were good and relevant. Kenneth voice kept me engaged in the story and I really enjoyed it.

Will definitely get the next book in audio.

Noah, Josh, & Indie

An explicit exploration of the relationship between Noah, Josh, and Indie. Did leave some unanswered questions. The narrator was great.

Loved it.

I already knew I loved the story from reading the kindle edition, and I loved hearing the characters come to life. Kenneth Obi does an excellent job of conveying emotions and differentiating between voices for the characters.

Amazing series

This series is the best. And even better on audio. Kenneth Obi has done an amazing job making these people come life.
If you are only listening to one book this year, this is the one you need.
Love this series.

Sweet, sexy and surprising

This entire series was a surprise. The overall story contained some of the sexiest scenarios and managed to keep me entertained and excited throughout. The sweetness despite serious tragedy was uplifting and heart warming. I loved the entire series. The narration was superb!

I loved Indy, Josh and Noah

Josh and Noah are best friends that have been through some pretty tough times and it has affected how they deal with life and the problems that arise. They have both an emotional and physical relationship that helps get them through day to day life. Indy enters their lives and he brings some much needed acceptance into their world. Acceptance of their relationship, he loves them both and would never want to break their bond. Acceptance of the wounds both internal and external that scar them both and make their connection so important. He accepts them and loves them for who they are and it allows them both and him to heal from some pretty horrific ordeals that still haunt them all. I really grew to care about all three men and look forward to seeing where their relationship and their story goes from here. I also truly enjoyed listening to Kenneth Obi as he narrated this audiobook. Highly recommend.

I won a copy of this audiobook but this is my honest review.

as great as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the 2 narrators (so far), I can listen without break and have no problems to follow.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

A great story and my favorite narrator :)

Kenneth Obi is usually the first narrator I seek out when looking for an audiobook. And when coupled with Nora Phoenix, it's a total no brainer to click on the purchase button :)

Just sucks you right in

I love Nora Phoenix and I really don't know why I dragged my feet on starting this series. I should have known better she writes in a way that just grabs hold and the characters won't let you go. Obi does a great job with the narration, I have not read them previously but I imagine his perfomance is what I would have had in my head on my own.
